Watercolor painting as a medium of attraction

An article about watercolors, why do I like it and why it is a good hobby. I have been painting watercolors for decades and never tire of its dynamic qualities, which are completely different from oil or acrylic. As shown below, it works great in many practical ways.

My background may be helpful. When I was young, I always liked to paint. It's not just those brightly colored posters that are common, but I like to explore a variety of green blends. For example, when drawing a pond surface with its water lily pond, etc., I really like to use as much green, brown and ocher. I am still very young at this stage - about 7 years old. Over time, I built a lot of paintings that I can get quickly whenever we have visitors. This pile of paintings is imposed by as many visitors as possible, and they must do their due diligence to check each one and give appropriate comments.

The passion for mixing colors and making pictures has never stopped. I like watercolors passionately, I like to paint beautiful washes with fascinating gradient colors, then put the main theme on the front details, maybe birds, animals, flowers, etc., to get that great "depth of field" effect. I also like photography to get.

Of course, you need to have a good understanding of the composition elements in order to draw a good photo. Placement, theme selection, balance, color, shape are all in it, and the feeling of "looking right". There are many good books on this topic, but a simple rule of thumb is the rule of threes. You can divide the page vertically and horizontally into three equal parts. The position where the lines intersect is where the main theme is placed. This has been established as the most beautiful positioning for your focus.

Watercolor media has many advantages, even for beginners, although it has been said to be the hardest to master. For me, I found that if you cut a complete piece of watercolor paper into 8 pieces, the final size would be great for drawing small studies to prepare for large works, or just practicing. You can also flip the paper and spray it on the other side. Therefore, 16 small sheets of paper in a full-size paper are very economical. It also has the advantage of being easy to store, as once dry, these small sheets of paper will fit into the A4 protection panel and can be stored in the ring binder folder for many years.

So for beginners, as an up-and-coming artist, there is plenty of room for experimentation, no need to waste canvas and storage problems. Watercolor helps to express freely, because the colors that flow from the brush are colorful, whether it is dry brushing, wet wetting, or a mixture of the two. It's fun, exciting and harmless, although if you're a control freak who likes absolute control, then the little problems of paint, paper and water control you! If you can overcome that small obstacle, you are on the road!

Therefore, I strongly recommend that everyone with a tendency to create a watercolor as a pressure destroyer, and as a means of achieving great creative satisfaction, give life some meaning.
