Zardozi (embroidery art) - a brief analysis

The love of Mughal rulers for good and aesthetic art makes them still memorable. They like art very much, and don't believe that '' art is for the sake of art '' but art life'. Since Agra has always been the cradle of the Mughal dynasty, there are different forms of art - painting, music, dance, stone inlays, sculptures, inlays, calligraphy, jewels and stone carvings, carpet making, embroidery works, etc.

The Imperial seraglio [the Royal Harem] is an important center for appreciators of art and crafts. Because the royal ladies assigned special Zagris to their expenses and they have a high empire privilege, the craftsmen have the best shoppers of the royal ladies. Mughal rulers are more accustomed to living in tents outside the Royal Palace. Sometimes they are used to setting up tents in palaces, and they are used to being addicted to joy. They need large carpets, canvas and embroidered panels to decorate their home.

This is the famous Zardozi art [embroidery art] developed in the Taj Mahal. In fact, this is Persian, meaning sewing with a golden rope. So Zardozi is an art where the work is done on silk fabrics with the help of knitwear. In the era of Mughals, craftsmen used to work with gold or silver threads and used these embroidered panels to decorate their places and tents. They are also used to decorating royal costumes and women's dresses and other dresses with some zardozi pieces. Even in the palace, the elephant cover is decorated with the same technique.

If you look at the museum that displays Mughal fabrics on other items, you can see this art. With the complete cessation of the Mughal dynasty, this form of art has completely declined, leaving only a few hundred craftsmen who are engaged in this work. The number of Mughals's heydays has exceeded 10,000.

A family in Agra recently tried to restore this almost dying Mr. Shamshuddin is a pioneer in this field. He reached a high level in this form of art and was rewarded by the masterpiece of the Indian government. Some of his masterpieces are like the Taj Mahal, garden landscape, dancing peacocks, tigers in the jungle, etc. The panels of the Taj Mahal have three-dimensional effects. He has the intellectual property of his masterpiece. His family is now promoting art forms. Currently these craftsmen work with silk and needles. First, they design on the tracing paper and imitate it on the surface of the fabric, then the needle starts working, which can take months or even years to complete.

In short, I think this is a great art that should be preserved and promoted for future generations so that our upcoming generations can remember this art. This is also the responsibility of the state and the central government. India subsidizes this art to promote this art. Visitors can also help promote art by enjoying this art on the same day Agra Travel Package.
