To protect us we often rely on banks, locks, passwords, credit cards, hiding places and even fighting skills. However, like the story of the emperor's new clothes, we often deny ourselves the greatest threat to our own or the wealth [and reason] of our organization.
I am talking about an addictive personality.
Here are some examples I have witnessed:
A relative lost her house because her son was addicted to drugs.
[My mother's house is close to breaking into the drug addicts from the shelter.]
An employee earns money by trying to support their drugs and video games.
A gym boss, a gambling addicted girlfriend, is heavily in debt.
A military party fund, he disappeared an alcoholic who volunteered to take care of it.
Rents and investments that disappear by trusting drug users.
And such examples are too numerous to mention.
I mentioned this because physical health includes financial health.
Now, many people believe that the stigma of addiction is driving addicts to commit suicide and more destructive behavior. [You will see public signs around Vancouver, saying that drug addicts are also colleagues, relatives, friends and ordinary people.] Well, the point here is to protect you, not to intellectualize why they hurt your health. It makes sense as much as trying to reason with a grizzly or mad dog. forget it.
Instead, note the following behaviors of addicted characters:
Moody.
They often fluctuate between sweetness and glamour, δΉ–and and anger.
2. Over-achievement
Some addicted characters actually perform well in academics, sales, and sports. I personally know several martial artists and soldiers who performed poorly performing high-level performances, and they used a lot of drugs. Addictive types will suddenly work or productivity in a short period of time, giving the impression that they are high performers.
They often show off any small achievements, such as volunteering or exercising.
I am often sick.
4. Always accept / request vacation.
5. Money problems often occur.
They often borrow money or ask for a work advance payment.
6. Unethical behavior
They often lie, steal, deceive and insult others, and colleagues and family members often cover up them.
Smoking regularly
Not always, but most drug addicts smoke.
8. Cursing and violent tendencies
9. Swallowing alcohol
This is what I saw in the army. Heavy drinkers will never sip and drink. They have to swallow it. Before the end of Happy Hour, a colleague bought six bottles of beer again and again.
10. Blame others
If you talk to an addicted person, you will hear all the psychological and family reasons why things are "others' faults" and they are excessively drinking, gambling or playing video games.
This list is not complete, it may even make the reader a bit flustered if it sounds too personal or "close to home." The truth is, you often realize that it is "not quite right" for colleagues, employees, bosses or colleagues, and you should keep them away from your money, family or business. If you are a colleague, business partner or spouse, sometimes you can't. Like martial arts, combat and military skills, you must be able to maintain strong defense and preparedness for these people.
It all comes down to first trusting your instincts.
stay healthy.
be careful.
