Tools and materials needed:
Level
Drill with various drill bits
9/16" wrench
tape measure
Frame square
Channel lock pliers
Some notes before starting:
1] Comply with all local piping and building codes.
2] Before installation, open the packaging of the new bathroom and check for damage. Put the restroom back in the protective case until you are ready to install it.
3] These instructions are used to mount the washroom to the wood frame structure. For other installations, please provide suitable supports and fastenings of sufficient size and strength.
4] Walls and floors must be square, plumb and level.
Base receiver installation instructions
first step:
1] Rough water supply and drain piping Note: When in the open position, the water supply stop handle cannot extend more than 3 inches from the finish wall.
2] Install enough backing behind the facing wall to provide a secure material for the anchoring device.
3] Apply two self-adhesive washers [provided] to each of the three ridges in the bottom groove of the lavatory.
Tips to remember
1] Toilet selection: When replacing the base toilet, remember to choose other standards for the bathroom or dressing room in addition to the color and style.
2] The unit may expose wall and floor defects, which may complicate installation.
3] If you don't want anything that touches the floor or is easier to clean, try a bathroom with a hood that is as strong as the pedestal and gives the room a nice look.
The second step:
1] Mark the centerline on the floor.
2] Place the base on the floor centerline.
3] Carefully place the restroom on the base.
4] Move the base as needed to ensure proper installation at the desired location.
5] Convenient level. Add more self-adhesive washers as needed to level the washroom. Note: The toilet must be supported by the base.
6] Check the toilet position.
7] Mark the center of each anchor hole on the wall and mark the floor through the hole at the bottom of the base.
8] Carefully remove the washroom from the base. Then move the base from this area.
Faucet selection: The faucet needs to maintain a proper gap between the plug level and the wall.
third step:
1] Drill a 1/4" mounting hole in the marking on the floor and then drill two 1/4" hanger bolt holes in the mark on the wall.
2] Install the hanger bolts to the wall so that approximately 1-1 / 4 of each bolt remains exposed. Note: Other fastening devices of sufficient size and strength can also be used.
3] Install the faucet and drain into the washroom according to the manufacturer's instructions. Note: Do not fully tighten the slip joint drain connection at this time.
Existing hardware: Through the base sink, wall-mounted or covered toilet, you will see plenty of water and drainage hardware. Make sure your P-trap, supply lines and valves look acceptable. This is the best time to change and upgrade.
Before installation: When opening the box, you need to check quickly to make sure all parts are included. There will be a parts list in your manual.
Before installing the top, you need to install the faucet and drain it to the top of the restroom. It's easier to use at this point, and the two pieces don't add too much weight.
the fourth step:
1] Place the pedestal mounting hole on the hole in the floor.
2] Fix the base to the floor with wood screws and washers. Tighten the wood screw until it fits snugly.
caveat! Risk of product damage: Do not overtighten. Overtightening the wood screws can damage the product.
Step 5:
1] Place the washroom on the base so that the hanger bolts pass through the washroom holes.
2] The level is convenient.
3] Install the cap nut and washer and tighten until they are snug. caveat! Risk of product damage: Do not overtighten the nut. Excessive tightening can damage the product.
4] Connect and tighten the trap. Connect the hot and cold water supply to the faucet.
Installation Tip: If available, it will be easier for two people to install. Some of these toilets are very heavy and moving can be cumbersome. The most important help time is to place the restroom on the mounting hardware and arrange the P-traps at the same time. It is great to have someone lift and place when another person is arranging the pipes.
Mounting the legs to the wall is a relatively simple task. However, when screwing in from the threaded side, place the threaded rod connectors on the threads to protect them [another option is to use multiple nuts]. This makes it easier to tighten the nut while pulling the top of the lav.
