Three volcanic projects - simple, intermediate and spectacular!

Making a volcano is a great project because you can do crafts, learn about volcano science, and see one in action. Choosing the right volcano project for you can be a bit challenging. I have listed three different projects, and you can choose according to your skill level, your child's age and the performance you want.

Project 1: Easy Volcano

This is the smallest messy project. You can use a poster board instead of traditional paper or clay techniques to build a volcanic cone. Poster boards are suitable for a variety of uses, but are best sealed with oil painting or even some type of spray sealer. The technique of making a volcanic cone is simple. You cut from the middle of the side [long side] to the center. Then you just overlap the sides of the cut, so the poster board forms a cone, like a big party hat. When you put it in a pleasant cone, just stick the ends together to keep the shape. Cut a hole in the top of the bottle and trim the whole thing to the right size. Place the bottle in it, fill the cone with a newspaper to gain strength, and then stick it to the plate. Remember to spray or spray it to resist volcanic eruptions. Once it is dry, it is ready to erupt.

Project 2: Intermediate Volcano

The bottle you choose can be any size from 2 to 20 ounces. Place it in the middle of a sturdy board and cover it with clay or pulp to form a volcanic cone. If pulp or gypsum is used, a stack of cardboard strips is first constructed in the shape of the cone and the pulp is then applied to the frame. Once done, you can draw it and get ready.

To make these volcanoes erupt:

· Almost filled with water

· Put 4 or 5 drops of detergent directly into the water

· Add two tablespoons of baking soda in water

· Place the volcano on the bottle, put it in place and get ready

· Pour some vinegar into the volcano bottle and observe the explosion!

Making a paper machine:

The pulp is easy to make. It is just two servings of water and one flour. Mix it to obtain a good adhesive consistency. Then you soak the paper towels inside and apply them to the shells to get a beautiful volcanic look.

Project 3: Spectacular volcano

The volcano uses the power of Mentos and Diet Coke, which ejects spectacular streams in a few feet of air. You can make this volcano using any of the early techniques, but you do need to seal the cone with water. If you don't, the explosion of soda will destroy the volcano and it won't be used once or twice. If you want to make a fast, durable and waterproof volcano, you can use a spray can insulation called Great Stuff. You put two litres of soda on a piece of wood and spray something around it so that it forms a cone of volcano. Once it is done, you can draw it and you are ready. The great thing will be sprayed into a magma shape that looks great, and it takes about two minutes from start to finish to make your volcano.

Instructions for using Great Stuff: It is a commonly used insulating foam in the construction industry and cannot be used by children alone. Must be used by adults and must wear safety glasses and safety gloves. Observe all safety instructions on the tank, including in a well ventilated area or outdoors.

Explosion of Mentos and Soda Volcano: You only need to put 3 Mint Mentos in the bottle at the same time, and then quickly return! Three Mentos are the best number of volcanoes, and you can't use flavor types. It must be normal mint. The key is to have Mentos all in use at the same time, so you should practice by holding three stacks and then discarding them. Do it a few times in an empty bottle so you can feel it. You can roll a tube out of a piece of paper and stack the Mentos inside. Place a piece of cardboard on the bottle, place the Mentos tube on the cardboard, and when you pull the cardboard, Mentos will fall into the bottle.

Instructions for soda: You don't have to use Diet Coke. You can use almost any two liter carbonated soda bottle. But I recommend that you use dietary variability because the sugar content is less, the resulting confusion will reduce stickiness and make it easier to clean.

Making a volcano is a fun activity because you can learn about volcanoes and you can play the volcanoes you make.
